TYCO RESOLUTE

Vern created this web page because he saw the ship video ON THE SMITHSONIAN CHANNEL about placing a Fiber Optic under the Pacific Ocean to tie Costa Rica into the Pan American Crossing cable known as "PAC-1".

This is "Sea Bed Plow". Much larger than the ones Vern Engineered for plowing cable in PITTSFORD MICHIGAN.
Tyco Resolute's plow, plowing the cabe in off the coast of Coast Rica.
Heading down a steep slope where "PAC-1" lies.
When the Fiber Cable had been plowed down to 3000 ft. deep, they placed the on top of the Sea Bead. On reaching the Pan-American Cable, They cut the Cable in two. (It had been shut down).
It's hard to tell how the splicing was actually accomplished, but these cases are huge.
The image below leads to details of the ship.
This is where the ship was when I watched the Video.

In 1986, Vern engineered a conduit system for ATT&T from Lake Washington to Portland. It was here where he came close to working with Submarine Cable work. His work started at the 1st manhole out of the lake.
