| Mr. Edward Daverman, aged 86, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 27, 2002. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Wesley Smedes, and by his sister-in-law, Katheryn Daverman. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marge; children, Barbara and Richard Friedenberg of Pacific Palisades, CA, John and Priscilla Daverman of Santa Fe, NM; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jenna; brother, Robert Daverman, and sisters, Marion Smedes and Esther and William Struck of Kalamazoo; brothers-in-law, Everett C. and Ruth DeWolfe of San Antonio, TX, and Robert and Emily DeWolfe of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Ed was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and was also actively involved with the Michigan Christian Home, Cornerstone University and the Christian Businessmans Association. His life demonstrated his commitment to his favorite Bible verse, Micah 6:8 To do justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Funeral Services including Committal will be held 2:30 Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church (1200 28th St.) with Pastor Richard Van Norman officiating. The family will be at the funeral chapel to greet friends and relatives Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Christian Home.
