GUY FINDER
.....This finder is set up for a pull of "2" feet where it possible to set an anchor away from the pole with a lead ratio of "/2".
If the pole was to support anything from 10 wires to 16M strand, the guy wire required would be a 2.2M strand and an anchor to go with it.. At bottom of page is how Vern spotted where the anchor will be staked and placed.

Looking at the "PULL FINDER" IT CAN BE SEEN IT IS SET
AT ABOUT 28 FEET (30 degrees)
---
Turning the "1/2" lead way around to the left at "28"
A 6M support strand would then require a 10M down
guy with an anchor to go with it.

.....To place a stake where the anchor was to be buried at any corner pole, Vern would put his back to the pole, stretch and point his hands to the poles left and right, close his eyes and bring his hands together. He would place the stake away from the pole as far as practical to obtain a good height/lead ration.

.....Now Vern did not use the guy finder above. He used a chart provided in the REA manual. The finder above came to him in later years.
