Joshua Trees
As seen north of Kingman

The Joshua Tree was named after the biblical leader, Joshua, as it reminded the Mormon pioneers of the hero raising out-stretched arms toward the heavens The trees grow at elevations from 2,000 to 6,000 feet and likes dry soils, often growing in groves. Its height varies from 15-40 feet with a diameter of 1-3 feet.
