The Tamaroa Switchboard was installed in Rural Illinois during the World War One Era.
Those who did not have a radio could then
receive News By Telephone.
In 1965 the Switchboard was remove. This was a time when farmers were very happy to see there old telephone system removed and they just burned all the old wood stuff in big bon fires. Well this one was saved buy a company engineer and he has kept it and moved it where ever he moved. Now he has donated it to the ITPA Museum.
YRC became acquainted with this treasure in South Seattle on May 9th, 2018.
The engineer crated it and delivered it, with a little challange in entering the terminal.
The Fork Lift driver and I loaded it on to a pallet, he then weighted it with a built-in scales.
I, the engineer, receive tracking reports as displayed below at each arrival terminal.
