Where most people travel by air.

But the author  of these Alaska pages flew commercial into Fairbanks and Adak via Anchorage and traveled by car.

Vern flew on Alaska’s 737-200 Combi airplane from Seattle to Anchorage and on to Adak.

The plane had an all palletized floor with 3 cargo pallets for containers forward and 3 passenger pallets for about 75 passengers in the rear. The palletization made the floor about 2 inches higher. There was no access from the passenger compartment to the cockpit. The planes were phased out between 2005 and 2007.       From: Alaska Airlines Fleet
