Agren Creek Washout 
In 1990 in the area of Vader, Washinmgton; there was a huge rain fall.  Agren Creek
has a pond built within it where in the dam for the pond broke and sent enough water
down stream to plug a culvert and wash out the tracks of the Burlinton Northern R.R.
On the R.R.right-of-way, along the west side of the track is the conduit system
for AT&T's fiber cable system which we installed a couple years before.  Miraculously
the cable within was strong enough to support the conduit and it remained,
swinging in the air. The cable did go out of service however because a kink was
formed so sharp that the light could not pass.    See NEWS Clipping

Before the cable and conduit could be replaced, a temporary fiber was placed around
the damage area via the streets of Vader and the county roads. A repeater had to be
placed in line also because of the added distance. The repairs took several weeks.
